Rome, N.Y.- Aug 20,2001-
Dart Communications, the market leader of Internet Application Development Components, is pleased to announce the release of the PowerTCP FTP Tool 1.6. This new version will help developers easily transition to Microsoft’s .NET Framework.
Dart, in their continued commitment to provide programmers with quality tools for rapid application development, has added .NET Framework support to the PowerTCP FTP Tool. In this new version of the PowerTCP FTP Tool, .NET interoperability has been incorporated into Dart’s ActiveX product by including a .NET wrapper control written in C# that will allow the COM component to be used in the .NET Framework.
To assist with the transition, Dart has included eight new VB.NET samples in this version. These samples will show developers how to use the wrapper for interoperability in Microsoft’s .NET Framework. Dart has also included .NET documentation giving an overview of the .NET Framework and an explanation of .NET interoperability.
Dart Communications’ enhancements to the PowerTCP FTP Tool make it the perfect choice to begin the transition to Microsoft’s .NET environment. Dart’s Product Manager, Alex Gladshtein states, “A major aspect of Dart's .NET strategy is to assist customers with their transition to the .NET Framework. By adding interoperability and samples, we hope that developers can use our products to better understand .NET while preserving any investment they make in ActiveX components. We are committed to providing long-term support for both ActiveX and the .NET Framework with new products and interoperability.”
The PowerTCP FTP Tool Version 1.6 is available now and lists for $249. Additional information about this product and a 30-day trial can be found at Dart Communications’ website.
